Jan. 2 - leave for China

Dec. 9, 2014 - Travel Approval papers received by our agency

Dec. 4, 2014 - Travel Approved in China

Dec. 1, 2014 - Article 5 was piked up

Nov. 29, 2014 - mailed visa applications for myself, Brent, and Mia

Nov. 14, 2014 - NVC letter

Nov. 10, 2014 - called NBC Hague unit for corrected form

Nov. 8, 2014 - I-800 approval received in the mail w/ child's name misspelled

Nov. 5, 2014 - I-800 approval

Oct. 21, 2014 - mailed our I-800 application; mailed care package to Yangkang

Oct. 20, 2014 - agency received our LOA

Oct. 16, 2014 - LOA date

August 5, 2014 - received precious videos of Yangkang

August 4, 2014 - received the medical information that we requested (x-rays of neck and answer to question about mobility of neck)

August 1, 2014 - submitted request for more medical information on Yangkang and emailed our LOI 

July 31, 2014 - received very optimistic report from Dr. Ladage on Yangkang

July 29, 2014 - submitted Yangkang's files to Internation Adoption Specialist, Dr. Ladage at Cardinal Glennon, St. Louis

July 28, 2014 - received REFERRAL for Yangkang

July 10, 2014 - LID!!! (our dossier was officially logged in at CCCWA)

June 30, 2014 - DTC!!! (our dossier was sent to China)

June 27, 2014 - CAWLI received our final documents for our dossier/ Hand in Hand Christian Adoption Inc. mailed checks (from fundraiser/matching grant) to CAWLI for agency/China dossier fees

June 25, 2014 - received last 4 documents back from the Chinese Consulate/ mailed these documents on to our adoption agency to complete our dossier

June 16, 2014 - our last 4 documents were dropped off at the Chinese Consulate

June 11, 2014 - mailed 4 documents to a courier to hand deliver to the Chinese Consulate for authentication

June 10, 2014 - last 4 documents for dossier were state certified

June 9, 2014 - had a copy of our I-800A approval notarized

June 7, 2014 - received I-800A approval in mail

June 4, 2014 - I-800A approval!

June 3, 2014 - redid letter of application and commitment (outdated) and had it notarized

May 21, 2014 - Brent, Lori, and Emily's fingerprints for USCIS are done

May 16, 2014 - Adrian's fingerprints for USCIS are done

May 10, 2014 - received our biometrics appointments from the Department of Homeland Security for our I-800A approval

May 8, 2014 - received the official receipt in the mail for our I-800A application

May 2, 2014 - CAWLI received the 9 dossier documents; we received confirmation that our I-800A was received at USCIS's lock box

April 29, 2014 - mailed 9 certified and authenticated documents for our dossier to CAWLI (4 more to go)

April 28, 2014 - mailed I-800 A application to USCIS

April 26, 2014 - received approved home study in the mail

April 24, 2014 - our home study has been approved!!!

March 19, 2014 - received 4 authenticated documents from the Chinese Consulate for our dossier

March 18, 2014 - home study submitted to the DCFS for approval

March 10, 2014 - 4 documents submitted to the Chinese Consulate via courier

March 5, 2014 - mailed 4 documents to a courier to hand deliver to the Chinese Consulate for authentication

Feb. 6, 2014 - received 5 authenticated documents from the Chinese Consulate for our dossier

Jan. 28, 2014 - received a copy of our marriage certificate for our dossier

Jan. 27, 2014 - 5 documents submitted to the Chinese Consulate via courier

Jan. 24, 2014 - ordered a certified copy of our marriage certificate; the one we have on hand is over 6 months old, which the Chinese Consulate will not accept

Jan. 23, 2014 - Indiana background check being resubmitted (lost?)

Jan. 22, 2014 - mailed 5 documents to a courier to hand deliver to the Chinese Consulate for authentication

Dec. 23, 2013 - copies of the home study draft were sent to us and our placing agency, CAWLI, for review

Dec. 17, 2013 - Adrian interviewed for home study

Dec. 12, 2013 - 8 documents for dossier State Certified

Dec. 7, 2013 - file only papers sent to China Adoption With Love, Inc.(CAWLI)

Dec. 5, 2013  - 2 documents State Aposilled


Nov. 27, 2013 - Adrian's physical

Nov. 18, 2013 -Brent's CPR certification

Nov. 14, 2013 - Emily and Mia's physicals for home study; received letters from our local police department for dossier

Nov. 13, 2013 - Brent's physical for the dossier

Nov. 12, 2013 - Emily's Biometrics Fingerprinting

Nov. 11, 2013 - Enrich meeting

Nov. 5, 2013 - Brent's lab work for dossier physical

Nov. 4, 2013 - my CPR certification

Nov. 1, 2013 - my physical for our home study and dossier

Oct. 29, 2013 - my lab work for dossier physical

Oct. 28, 2013 - received updated Foster Care License listing our new home study agency; Brent updated his autobiography for home study

Oct. 22, 2013 - updated my autobiography for home study

Oct. 21, 2013 - my birth certificate was state authenticated 

Oct. 16, 2013 - child abuse checks for IL

Oct. 15, 2013 - verification of employment and financial statement for dossier

Oct. 13, 2013 - guardianship letter for home study

Oct. 11, 2013 - home study visit for update (Enrich, interviews, and walk-through)

Oct. 7, 2013 - wrote CCCWA letter of application and commitment for dossier

Sept. 30, 2013 - mailed application to China Adoption With Love, Inc. ($200)

Aug. 5, 2013 - mailed application for home study to Christian Social Services ($300)

June 2013 - started talking about adopting again
